They are both 7 letter words but extreme opposites
There could be a very thin line between them though…
It’s amazing how easily one could turn into the other
how a cherished friend could within the twinkle of an eye become a despised enemy.
It is also amazing how someone you have disliked for so long could become one of your dearest friends or the dearest of them all.
“Enemies today,Friends tomorrow” was a line in a song my old boy used to sing,
referring to the beautiful nature of true friendship;how people could fight as enemies one day and make up amicably the next day..
And that’s how it’s supposed to be..but it’s not
We allow fights to tear down and break up a lifetime of friendship
We allow our pride, arrogance and stubbornness get the better part of us and prevent us from working things out.
No one wants to be the “fool”,no one wants to be the one to throw in the towel..
And that’s how a friend could turn into a foe.
We may not know the importance of arguments and misunderstandings..but without them,we may not discover some of the differences and dislikes of the other party and how to deal with them.
After all being a friend to someone means you know how loud, annoying, rude, arrogant and stubborn they can be but you still love&accept them just the way they are and still think they are pretty awesome!
What’s cool about having enemies/haters anyway?
How would you feel when you wake up one morning and find out that the person you dislike/despise so much…that enemy of yours is no more? Has passed away?
How would that make you feel, knowing that you never patched things up and you would never have the chance to?
It’s not worth it to hate, besides the heart was made to love ♡
So let’s give ourselves the chance to forgive and love again, cos we dunno when/how we’d need that person or that person would need us.
Plus, friendship is such a beautiful thing, nothing should be allowed to destroy that! ☺
