Hello beautiful people!
‘God’s time is the best.’ I’m sure you have heard this at some point in your life but what does it really mean? When is God’s time?
So you know how whenever you close your eyes or try to envision your future, you keep seeing yourself doing certain things or going to certain places? Or how you have this strong desire in your heart to get a particular thing done? Yeah that is your God given dream. Unfortunately, not everyone will go ahead and make that dream a reality. We can dream all we want, (I’m such a big dreamer) but at some point we’ve got to wake up and do something! I am all for living out your dreams but to be honest, it is never easy. In fact, one of the most challenging things to do in this life is taking that risk, daring to believe in yourself enough and stepping out in faith to make that dream happen but even then, it won’t all come together for you at once. Sometimes you would even question yourself and God, and ask if He indeed put that dream in your heart because when you look around you, it looks far from possible but believe me when I say that your vision is yet for an appointed time and as long as we are in this world where there are seasons and times, it shall surely come to pass.
There are times when things have happened for us sooner than we expected (example: my marriage) and in such cases do we say it was God’s time? Of course we do because once it is a good thing then it definitely happened in God’s perfect time.
There are also times when things have happened for us later than we expected or they don’t seem to be happening for us at all (example: me trying to find a job after Uni). When we think certain things (mostly material) like money, jobs, marriage, childbirth, etc. have delayed in our lives, do we also say then that it is because it’s not God’s time yet or do we get frustrated? Many times, it seems we dictate to God when and how we want things to happen, I mean we even give deadlines and send threats but is God moved by these things? Nope!
In my life, I’ve had to wait for many things to happen for me mostly when it had already happened for everyone around me (example: me owning a laptop for the first time, story for another day) so I know how hard and frustrating it can be to wait but I also know that when God says something is going to be done, it definitely gets done BUT at the time He sees fit because like I always say, He knows BEST.
Imagine giving your 10 year old child a million dollars. What would he/she do with it? Even if they have some great ideas, how are they going to implement it on their own? But imagine giving it to them 20 years later, when you’ve watched them grow into a responsible adult who can manage their affairs properly. Wouldn’t you trust them better at this age with such an amount? I feel like this is the way it is with us and God. As an all knowing God, I’m sure He knows what we can & cannot handle and when we can & can’t handle it, so He wouldn’t give us what we’re not prepared or ready for, or anything that we can’t handle even if we say we want it. Take some time to reflect on some of the things you wanted so badly 5 years ago but never had, and ask yourself if you would truly have been able to handle it at the time. Maybe then you thought you could have, but if you’re honest with yourself, when you look back today, you’d realize that you probably weren’t ready for it or you didn’t really need it and that’s why you never had it. I just searched myself and you don’t want to know what I wanted badly 5 years ago.
A friend of mine always used to post this quote that I love so much: “Faith in God includes faith in His timing.” If we say we have faith in God then of course we must have faith in His perfect timing too. We know His timing is not like ours, He is never too early or late so even though we may think things have delayed or have happened too soon, for Him they happen right on time. Don’t get frustrated or tired of waiting for that thing that seems to be taking so long to happen, God knows the right time to give it to you and that is the exact time you’re going to get it. There are no laws anywhere that state that certain things in our lives should happen at specific times so rest easy and keep trusting in God’s timing because like He said in Isaiah 60:22 (MSG); “I am GOD. At the right time I’ll make it happen.” (NIRV): “I am the Lord. When the time is right, I will act quickly.” (AMP): “I, the LORD, will quicken it in its [appointed] time.”
‘In his time, in his time,
He makes all things beautiful in His time…’
Keep trusting, keep hoping and keep believing, God will definitely come through for you. He loves you so much and He will never fail you!
